Nice Parenting

Ok, so I used to work at the local Wal-Mart until a few months ago. One night at the end of my shift this woman comes through the line with two little girls. So, no big deal, you know, so I just start ringing up their groceries and stuff. I’m just standing there, ringing along, when all of a sudden I hear a trickling sound and the older girl starts crying.

Crying girl: “Mommy, I peed!”
Mother: “ARE YOU SERIOUS?! YOU JUST PISSED YOUR PANTS LIKE A F-ING BABY?!” BTW, she was yelling this as loud as she could, so that everyone could hear.
Crying Girl: “I told you awhile ago that I had to pee! I told you I couldn’t hold it for that long!”
Mother: “YOU ARE SUCH A F-ING LITTLE BABY! LOOK AT YOU, PISSING YOUR PANTS! YOUR LITTLE SISTER DOESN’T EVEN DO THAT! CLEAN IT UP!”

So, this poor little girl proceeds to clean up her accident while crying because she’s so embarrassed. No matter how many times I told the mother that I can get someone to clean it up, she continued to berate the little girl, who couldn’t have been any older than 7.

So I said to her: “Ma’am, if you don’t stop berating your child in front of all these people, I am going to be forced to call the store manager up here to see if he needs to call child protective services.” She shut up after that. Poor kid.
